ABOUT THE HOST

Claire Minihan is a graduate of the North Bennet Street School’s Cabinet and Furniture Program. She worked in a custom cabinet shop in New England for 3 years and learned how to make travishers from Windsor Chairmaker Peter Galbert. Originally planned as a temporary job, making travishers soon became a full-time occupation and she has been making travishers for nearly 5 years. Claire says, “there’s something to be said about making your own tools … you have complete command to make your tool custom to you. Once you’re comfortable with the overall process of making these tools, I think you will find these fundamentals will translate when you tune up other tools in the shop”.
